CPR & First Aid Training

The College of Charleston Fire and EMS provides CPR, AED and First Aid training at a discounted rate to College of Charleston students, faculty, staff and alumni. Courses are scheduled at regular intervals throughout both the fall and spring semesters.

Heartsaver CPR AED     

     $50.00 ($40.00 for CofC)*

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

BLS for Healthcare Providers

     $55.00 ($45.00 for CofC)*

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

  • 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant.
  • 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant.
  • Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant.
  • Foreign-body airway obstruction

College of Charleston: We recommend this course to those who are currently working, or will soon be working, in a formal healthcare setting such as those listed above. In addition, this course is recommended for many lifeguard re-certification programs. Please check with your certifying agency to see which course is best suited to your needs. BLS for HCP is equivalent to the Red Cross Professional Rescuer Course for the purposes of lifeguard recertification.
